Terms of Use

What Tippin’ Point is
Tippin’ Point (“we”, “us”) lets people post calls for action and commit to them. A call asks each person to do one thing; nobody is on the hook until enough people commit (the tipping point). These terms apply to the app and the website.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old.
One account per person, in your own name, with your own phone number. Before taking part (committing so it counts, posting, following, commenting…) you pass an ID check with a government ID and a selfie.
Keep your login safe. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
Calls and commitments
Post calls you mean, for things that are legal and safe. Say clearly what each person will do, where and when.
Commit only to what you intend to do. Until a call tips you can withdraw; once it tips, your commitment stands. Your follow-through record (kept, missed) is shown on your profile, as you choose in Settings.
Tippin’ Point doesn’t organize, supervise or guarantee any call or event. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct and safety.
Bonds, donations and payments
Some calls ask for a bond: an amount you agree to be charged only if you don’t confirm that you followed through in time, unless you chose to give it anyway. Some calls are donations, charged when the call tips. The call shows who receives the money.
Payments are processed by our payment provider; we don’t store card numbers. Any purchase made inside the iPhone or Android app goes through Apple or Google and their terms.
Store credit and promo credit have no cash value except as described where you get them.
Community points
Points you earn (for example by keeping commitments and bringing people in) count toward the share of Tippin’ Point set aside for its community, as described in the app. Points aren’t money, can’t be sold or transferred, and may expire as the app describes.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You let us show it to the people you choose, and use it to run the app.
Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, misleading or that infringes someone else’s rights. Don’t spam, impersonate others or use the app to sell things outside its features.
Anyone can report content or accounts. Moderators review reports and may remove content, limit or suspend accounts that break these terms.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.
No warranties; limits on liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what people do at calls and events.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we’ll tell you in the app before important changes take effect. Questions: support@tippinpoint.org.
